Apache Pinot and Apache Druid are especially compelling when the product needs fresh data, high concurrency, and low-latency analytical serving. Apache Doris and StarRocks move closer to broader analytical database and warehouse territory while still competing on realtime performance.
That makes the architecture question more important than benchmark marketing. Teams should ask whether they need user-facing analytics serving, a broader SQL analytics layer, or one system trying to cover both.
