Netlify moved many teams to usage credits (announced 2025): Free includes 300 credits/month; Personal is $9/month with 1,000 credits; Pro is $20 per member/month with 3,000 credits per team (netlify.com/pricing). Credits burn on published rules—production deploys, bandwidth, function compute, form submissions, and web requests each consume credits at published exchange rates (for example bandwidth about 10 credits per GB, compute about 5 credits per GB-hour, web requests about 3 credits per 10k requests—see Netlify docs for the authoritative table). Legacy customers may remain on older plans until they migrate.
Netlify competes directly with Vercel for frontend hosting; choose based on framework support, credit economics for your traffic shape, and enterprise features. Compare Cloudflare Pages when Workers and R2 are central; compare AWS Amplify when you are billing everything to AWS.
