Editorial take
Why it stands out
Estimate runtime seconds × memory factor × invocations; long-running branches and retries multiply credits. For Connect, model monthly active external users separately from compute.
Tool profile
Integration and automation platform for connecting APIs, workflows, and event-driven backend tasks.
Glueing SaaS APIs without running your own queue workers
Pipedream is integration infrastructure: build event-driven workflows across SaaS APIs, or embed Pipedream Connect so your product can run actions on behalf of end users.
Pricing is credit-based, not per-step. Per pipedream.com/docs/pricing (March 2026), default workflow segments burn 1 credit per 30 seconds of compute at 256 MB; doubling memory scales credits proportionally (e.g. 1 GB ≈ 4× the 256 MB cost for the same duration). Developing/testing in the builder consumes no credits; inactive workflows incur no charge. Public registry sources used as triggers get favorable treatment versus private custom sources—read the Sources section before assuming free polling.
Free workspaces include a daily credit limit, caps on active workflows and connected accounts, and community support. Paid plans add a monthly platform fee that includes a pool of credits per billing period; overages roll to the next invoice per FAQ. Connect adds external user metering separate from credits for production deployments.
Dollar amounts for Basic/Advanced tiers change—use pipedream.com/pricing live and your workspace billing settings as source of truth.
