Traefik

Traefik belongs in the database because it sits at an important intersection of ingress, reverse proxy, and API gateway infrastructure. The official Traefik site positions Traefik Proxy as a cloud-native application proxy that simplifies dynamic service discovery, routing, and load balancing, especially in Kubernetes and modern distributed environments. The pricing page then makes the product ladder explicit: open-source application proxy first, then API Gateway, then fuller API Management. That makes Traefik more than a reverse proxy, but also more infrastructure-centric than a classic enterprise API management suite.

Its pricing posture is partly transparent and partly quote-led. The open-source application proxy is the free entry point. For API Gateway and API Management, the official pricing page clearly exposes the packaging and features but pushes buyers into a pricing request flow rather than showing public list prices. That still makes it a strong directory entry because the upgrade path and product boundaries are easy to understand even if exact enterprise dollar amounts are not self-serve.
